Geez... what's with the eye thing?

Here is a recent panel from the strip that has finally resolved itself. I plan to put in the bullet "velocity trails" digitally in the coloring phase. I'm crossing my fingers that the finish will look somewhat akin to the image I have for it in my head.

I've come to notice recently that there are at least 3 or more separate panels depicting eye injury in this story alone...
What's up with that..?
Is there some hidden message I should be getting out of such a patterned chain of violence?

And what the Hell is up with all this rampant ellipses usage..?

I've got a saleswoman at work I deal with who's every response ends with ellipses...usually it's in response to designs I'm sending her as jpegs..

GREAT...

good....

Ok..

So I started writing back ending all my sentences with them, too...

It's just clean fun...

Whenever you need to extend a sentence or simply imply that there is more coming... it just seems so natural to use those nutty three dots!

Can't... help... myself...

I'm still not sure what the eye thing is about, bu I know I wouldn't mind seein' some new stuff...or some old sketchbook drawings, animal studies (I know I've seen some in sketchbooks in the past) dot dot dot
