Shitstorm

Some unforeseen delays and mishaps have my graphic novel publication in a potentially permanent stall... so I'm trying to keep distracted as to not fall into despair creatively.

Infuriating as all this is, perhaps it will galvanize me into artistic action...

Here's hoping...

In the meantime, here's some 10 and 15 minute sketches from a recent male model at SVA... along with a quick 3 minute sketch of gal from last week.

Don't despair, regardless of the delay. You might end up like me! Haha.

Seriously though, you're doing a lot more than many people do by doing at all. It will come around, eventually and if they don't want to be serious with your property, to hell with them. You can change a word on the intro page, call it a new edition and take it elsewhere. Or publish it yourself.

But yeah. (Those are 10 minutes? Wow... I really need to get my figure drawing shit together. I'm slow and terrible. Welp, in time! Gotta be realistically positive about it, I guess.

Anyway, don't get too down. You have people that are here to keep you out of the dumps. (If that makes you feel any better.)

Thanks so much, sir...

It means a lot to know that at least there are a few folks out there that are still pulling for me;-)

I'm trying to keep positive anyway... Will give them another month to get back to me and then I'll make one last inquiry. If they can't commit then, I'm off to shill my wares to another independent publisher, as loathe as I am to do so.

Thanks for the kind words... I'm proud to count you among my friends, Nate.

Sorry to hear that..hopefully things have changed since this post...there's too much crap out there being published for something of as high a caliber as your work to not be published...so just keep going and forge ahead..and be proud of what you've accomplished by writing and drawing a full book!

The figure drawings are beautiful, btw.

Thanks for the kind words, Justin...
I'm just hoping that Eastman can pull it together and honor the initial agreement we had... unless his editors lied to me in the first place.

Seems unlikely, but who knows at this point? I'll try to stay positive...

Be well, friend!
